One of Nigeria’s prolific comedians, John Ikechukwu Okafor, is dead. He died at the age of 62 after complications arising from an ailment which led to the amputation of one of his legs. The interconnect debt dispute between MTN Nigeria Communications Plc. (MTN) and Globacom Limited (Globacom) has been amicably resolved. This is contained in an announcement on Thursday, by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). The Federal Government has banned the production and sale of alcoholic beverages in sachets less than 200ml across Nigeria. The ban was announced on Monday, February 5, by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC). The Federal Government agency said the five-year window given to the manufacturers of the products to stop producing the drinks in sachets and pet bottles which began in 2018 elapsed on January 31, 2024.
