Former governor of Anambra State, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife is dead. He was aged 85. Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu has formally announced his entrance into the race for the 2024 governorship race, thus ending weeks of sustained anxiety on the issue. The Rivers State House of Assembly has commenced impeachment proceedings against Siminalayi Fubara, governor of the state. Against expectations on Monday, members of the State House of Assembly signed the impeachment notice against the governor.  24 of the 32 members of the Assembly were said to have been present during Monday’s plenary.
