Carabao Cup: Chelsea Still Hopeful But Liverpool, Newcastle Are Favourites

Eight teams remain in the Carabao Cup and all those still involved are hopeful of triumph at Wembley in February. That is particularly the case this season, with Manchester City and Tottenham knocked out in previous rounds and both Arsenal and Manchester United exiting in tame fashion on Wednesday night.

Chelsea booked their place in the last-eight with a comfortable win over Blackburn but face a much sterner test in December, when they welcome Newcastle to Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool remain the favourites to go all the way in the competition and they will back themselves to reach the semi-finals, having been drawn at home to West Ham.

Port Vale and Middlesbrough are the two clubs still in the Carabao Cup from outside of the Premier League, and at least one will be in the last-four after they were drawn against each other. Everton host Fulham in the other quarter-final clash. Follow all the action from the quarter-final draw.
