Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu has been re-elected as the chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) for a second term.
Our correspondent reports that Tinubu took over the leadership ECOWAS about one year ago, and he was re-elected on Sunday in Abuja.
Tinubu hosted the ECOWAS heads for the 65th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Channels TV reports that Tinubu, who rose to power in May 2023, was re-elected as the ECOWAS chairman during the bloc’s meeting.
