Gunshots Rock Yenagoa As Cult Clash Leaves 3 Dead, Residents Flee Homes

By Emmanuel Ogoigbe, Warri At least three persons have been killed in a violent cult clash at the Igbogene suburb of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.  The attack, which occured Sunday night, triggered panic as gunshots were heard in different sections of the area. Though the identities of the victims could not be immediately ascertained, eyewitnesses described the clash as a continuation of cult-related violence plaguing parts of the state. Residents reportedly fled their homes, and business activities were halted during the orgy of violence.
