By our reporter

An operative of the Department of State Service (DSS) and witness of the Federal Government (FG) in the terrorism trial of leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, today told the Federal High Court,Abuja, that no weapon of terrorism or violence was found on the IPOB leader when he was arrested in Lagos on October 15, 2015.

That was during the Muhammadu Buhari presidency.

Codenamed PWAAA, the witness who was in the team that arrested Kanu, spoke under cross examination by lawyer to the Biafra agitator, Kanu Agabi, SAN, a former Attorney General of the Federation/Justice Minister.

The operative further told the court that no weapon capable of causing public disturbance was recovered from a lady arrested with Kanu.

Responding to questions by Agabi, the witness informed the court that all the items recovered from Kanu during the arrest were his (Kanu’s) personal properties.

Answering another question, the operative said the recovered items may not be ordinarily offensive, adding, however, that Kanu’s intention may be different.

He said he did not do any analysis of the recovered items as the official directive to him by his superiors who sent him to arrest Kanu, was to nab him and obtain a statement from Kanu.
