Major General Muhammad Inuwa Idris (rtd), Commissioner for Internal Security and Special Services, threw in the towel over undisclosed reasons. Approval for his resignation has already been confirmed in a statement issued by Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, spokesperson to the State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. The spokesman stated that Gov. The Supreme Court has declared Senator Samuel Anyanwu, as the authentic National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The declaration is coming from the nation’s Apex Court on Friday, 21 March 2025. The apex court set aside the judgement of the Court of Appeal in Enugu, which had recognised Sunday Udey-Okoye as secretary of the party at the expense of Anyanwu. Operatives of the Kano Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission , EFCC, have arrested popular TikTok influencer, Murja Ibrahim Kunya, for allegedly abusing and mutilating the Naira. Specifically,  Kunya was arrested for allegedly  spraying  Naira notes for fun during her stay in a hotel room at Tahir Guest Palace in Kano.
