*Possible Terrorist Intentions Suspected
More than 50 armed men were sighted along a bush path near Oke-Ere in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State, raising concern among farmers and residents of surrounding communities.
According to information reaching TruthNigeria, residents heading to their farms (yesterday) Monday, 21 September 21, encountered the men carrying firearms and bags as they moved through the bush around Oke-Ere.
A source familiar with the incident said it remains unclear whether the armed men intended to settle in the Oke-Ere bush area or were simply passing through.
The sighting has heightened concern among residents who regularly use the bush paths to reach farms, particularly in Oke-Ere and neighbouring communities.
Public Advisory
The news outlet, which routinely issues public advisories over potential terrorist activities, especially in Nigeria’s Middle Belt (North-Central zone), warned residents of Oke-Ere, Omi, Ogbe, Koro, Ejiba and nearby communities to exercise heightened caution when moving through isolated areas and to remain alert to unusual movements.
The paper further reported: “Residents are urged to promptly report suspicious persons or movements to the nearest security formation or other appropriate security authorities.
“People who encounter suspected armed persons are advised not to approach, confront or attempt to engage them, but to move to safety and alert security authorities as soon as possible.
