Arsenal had placed their hope of winning the trophy on City losing to West Ham, while at same time winning their final match at home to Everton.

Both teams have impressive records but while City have dominated the scene in recent years, Arsenal’s record over the years speaks volumes. In domestic football, it has won 13 league titles, a record 14 FA Cups, two League Cups, 17 FA Community Shields, and a Football League Centenary Trophy. But they have never won the Champions League, which many people consider the golden crown of club football.
Their domestic League titles place them at third position after Manchester United with 20 titles and Liverpool with 19. Manchester city and Everton tie at 9 titles apiece.
