All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has appointed seasoned journalists and communication experts to key positions in his media and publicity campaign team.
This is contained in a statement issued by Mr. Dare Adekanmbi, Media Consultant to Senator Alli, and made available to journalists in Ibadan.
The appointed include former South-West Bureau Chief of The Nation newspaper, Mr Bisi Oladele, who was named Director of Media and Publicity; Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan, who becomes Director of Strategic Communication; and a former consultant to Daily Times of Nigeria, Mr. Bolaji Tunji, who is Director of Public Affairs.
The immediate-past Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, Chief Ademola Babalola, was named Deputy Director of the Media Team.
Oyo State APC Publicity Secretary, Mr. Olawale Sadare, will serve as Secretary on the Media and Publicity Team.
The appointments, according to the statement, were aimed at strengthening media visibility, strategic communication, public engagement and overall information management ahead of the 2027 general elections.
