How Prayers, Religious Support Help Military Success -Defence Minister

It is important that religious organizations continue to pray for the nation’s troops fighting terrorism, banditry and other shades of insecurity.

Such prayers encourage and boost the morale of troops deployed across various theatres of operation nationwide.

Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa, took the position while receiving the General Overseer (G.O) of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries (TLCCRM), Pastor Lazarus Muoka, in his (Minister’s) office in Abuja,the nation’s capital.

Reaffirming the importance of moral support, prayers, and national unity in strengthening the resolve of the Armed Forces in the ongoing fight against insecurity in the country, the Minister said success required the input of every segment of society.

Gen. Musa highlighted the value of prayers and encouragement from religious organisations, saying such were no-brainer elixirs for success.

The Minister applauded Pastor Muoka and members of The Lord’s Chosen for their unceasing support and prayers for security agencies.

General Musa stressed that the Armed Forces remain committed to defending the nation’s territorial integrity as well as protecting the lives and property of Nigerians and implored religious leaders to continue promoting peace, unity, patriotism, and national cohesion.

To him, faith-based organisations (FBOs) play a strategic role in fostering harmony and supporting initiatives toward national security.

Speaking earlier on, Pastor Muoka told the Minister that the church would continue to support the Armed Forces and Federal Government (FG).

Praying for President Bola Tinubu, Pastor Muoka beseeched Almighty God to grant him wisdom, strength, good health, and the capacity to lead the country towards greater peace, stability, and economic prosperity.

Dwelling on soldiers fighting on the frontline, the G.O prayed for heavenly protection and victory for them and enduring peace in Nigeria.

At the end of the visit, both sides exchanged souvenirs and reinforced the commitment of both the Defence Ministry and the Christian community towards extending the frontiers of national security, peace, and unity.
