2027: Benue North East Insists On Alia

Major stakeholders in Benue North East Senatorial district have resolved that Governor Hyacinth Alia is their only option for the 2027 gubernatorial elections in Benue State.

The stakeholders comprising the political class, traditional rulers and the clergy, made their position known during the thank-you visit by the Governor to the senatorial district.

Benue North East Senatorial district comprises seven Local Government Areas (LGA).

The Governor, while addressing the stakeholders in Katsina Ala, Adikpo and Vandeikya respectively, told the people that he chose to go round their areas to thank them for their firm support for him as Governor, assuring that he would continue to do his best to reposition the state.

The Governor enumerated what he has achieved for the people of the state, noting that over 600 kilometers of roads have been constructed, over 300 health facilities and a lot of schools renovated even as storey buildings have been erected in other schools.

Emphasizing that his administration has revived many moribond industries in ithe state, the Governor also spoke on his efforts in the fight against insecurity and promised to make the state peaceful for the people to sleep with both eyes closed.

He assured that the State under his watch would not allow anyone an inch for pilot ranching, insisting that the Open Grazing Prohibition and Ranches Establishment Law was still in place, urging the people not to panic.

All the stakeholders including the State’s former Governor, Senator Gabriel Suswam, Solomon Wombo, first class traditional rulers in the various areas in the zone as well as leading clergy, promised to pray and support the Governor to return in 2027.
