Chairman of EIB Group and Briech UAS, Bright Echefu, has advised that the use of jamming systems by security operatives can help address challenges posed by insurgents in Nigeria. As of today, over 1,500 new signatories have signed an online protest against the renaming of University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) by President Bola Tinubu to Muhammadu Buhari University. Benjamin Osita Okoh; Professor Benedeth Ekwutosi Okoli; Eyinna Franklin Ogbonna; Dr. Samuel Ogbu-Nwobodo; Professor George Ugwu; and Ben Collins Ndu Jr. In a statement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Chidiebere Onyia, the government said that the names have been transmitted to the State House of Assembly for confirmation. The Governor has also approved the appointment of Dr. Godwin Anigbo as the State Head of Service. The appointment takes effect immediately.
