*Opt For Another Candidate

Many constituents and All Progressives Congress (APC) members of Oluyole Federal Constituency of Oyo State have expressed dissatisfaction over the representation offered by the current lawmaker from the constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe.
This is coming on the heels of a report at the weekend that supporters and stakeholders in the constituency have intensified calls for the continuity of representation by Akande-Sadipe.
However, many other constituents and her party members queried the rationale behind such a stance.
For instance, a party member, who claimed to come from her ward 10, Mrs. Bosede Adekola, claimed that Hon. Akande-Sadipe’s seven years in the House of Representatives had been a huge disaster to the party.
She disclosed that apart from physical absence from party meetings and activities, the lawmaker had not added any value to APC in Oluyole.
According to the respondent, Hon. Akande-Sadipe had been nonchallant to the party’s progress, as “she never showed any concern or felt ashamed with the tiny six-by-six shop the party has been using as office since 1999.”
Mrs. Adeleke, however, praised another APC chieftain, Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan, who recently donated a befitting secretariat to the party.
Another respondent online, Akin Adex, said: “I wonder what this lady believes she has done for Oluyole Local Government. We are not fools at Aiyegun; she couldn’t have a road repaired in her eight years in office.”
The respondent was, however, inaccurate in his statement on the lawmaker’s stay so far in the House of Representatives as People&Politics found out that the Rep will clock eight years in 2027, and not this year.
Yet, another constituent, Rasheed Oladayo, said: “People should stop yarning this kind of narrative. We can get better representative, and we are determined to get that in 2027.
“The people of our constituency are not fooled. We have not seen the kind of development or representation that we deserve in Oluyole Federal Constituency.”
