President Bola Tinubu today made half a dozen high profile appointments for some agencies in the nation’s education sector.
Five of the appointees are Professors.
A Presidency statement, today, listed the appointments as: Professor Modupe Adeola Adelabu – Chairman, Governing Board, National Examination Council (NECO); Professor Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi – Retained as Registrar/Chief Executive, NECO; and Professor Babatunde Salako – Chairman, Governing Board, National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
Also announced were Professor Idris M. Bugaje – Reappointed as Executive Secretary, NBTE (second and final 5-year term); Engr. (Dr.) Bongfa Binfa – Rector, Federal Polytechnic, N’yak-Shendam, Plateau State (5-year term); and Professor Chinwe Veronica Anunobi – Renewed as Director/Chief Executive, National Library of Nigeria (final 5-year term).
