Ijebu Professionals Back Okubadejo As 2027 Ogun Guber Running Mate To ‘Yayi’

Ijebu Professional Excellence Foundation (IPEF) has declared its strong support for Otunba Dapo Okubadejo as a suitable running mate to the Ogun State gubernatorial candidate of ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.

The foundation made this known in a statement signed by its cyhairman, Prince Jamiu Saka, an insurance guru and lawyer.
The statement was made available to the media on Friday.

It described Okubadejo as a seasoned professional with the competence, experience, and leadership capacity required to effectively complement the APC gubernatorial candidate.

Okubadejo, who currently serves as Commissioner for Finance and Economic Adviser to the Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has distinguished himself through meritorious service and notable contributions to the achievements of the present administration in the state.

According to the statement, his extensive background in economic management, governance, and strategic development place him in a strong position to add value to a joint ticket aimed at delivering people-oriented and result-driven leadership in Ogun State.

“IPEF stands firmly on the pillars of professionalism, integrity, and excellence. Otunba Dapo Okubadejo has consistently exemplified these values in both public and private service.

“His emergence on a joint ticket with Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) will, undoubtedly, enhance governance and inspire public confidence,” the statement read.

The foundation further disclosed that it was finalising arrangements to confer a Premium Award of Excellence on Okubadejo in recognition of his outstanding contributions to public service and professional development.

It noted that the award ceremony would attract distinguished personalities, professionals, and key stakeholders from across Ijebuland and beyond, in line with its commitment to celebrating excellence and promoting impactful leadership.

Prince Saka reiterated the foundation’s dedication to advancing professional excellence in Ijebuland, stressing that honouring deserving individuals remained a core part of its mandate.

“Further details regarding the date and venue of the award ceremony will be announced in due course,” he said.
