Mrs. Patricia Okereke (Nee Onwubiko), the eldest sister of founder of foremost civil rights advocacy group in Nigeria, Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA), has passed on, May 1, 2025 in Abuja, Nigeria's capital. Confirmation of the unfortunate news came in a statement by the National Coordinator, HURIWA, Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko, the activist who was a National Commissioner of the Nigerian Human Rights Commission.
