Amupitan Stresses Responsible AI Deployment As ECONEC Adopts Guidelines
By Tony Ezimakor, Abuja Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Joash Amupitan, has again stressed the imperative of the deployment of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in electoral management, and urged election management bodies to develop security safeguards needed for its responsible use. Prof Amupitan stated this Tuesday in Abuja while playing host to a delegation of the ECOWAS Network of Electoral Commissions (ECONEC), pointing out that the responsible use of technology will protect public trust.
