Julius Berger Woos Investors To Busy Warri Port, Showcases Terminal As Trade Hub

Julius Berger Services Nigeria Limited has intensified efforts to attract investors, importers, and exporters to Warri Port, Delta State, promoting its Multipurpose Terminal in the facility as a strategic hub for trade, logistics, and industrial development in Nigeria.

The company said the terminal (Terminal C), located within the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) complex in Warri, possesses the infrastructure, security framework, and operational capacity needed to support increased commercial activities and boost regional trade.

The company made the disclosure during a facility tour by members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Warri Correspondents’ Chapel, where the firm’s management highlighted the terminal’s growing contribution to maritime trade and logistics services in the country.

Speaking during the visit, Julius Berger’s Commercial Manager in charge of Multipurpose Vessels, Mr. Runyon Baldomar, dismissed claims that Warri Port was inactive, insisting that the port remains operational and continues to receive vessels and cargo consignments on a regular basis.

According to Baldomar, the terminal recently received two vessels within one week and is currently handling another vessel, while maintaining an average cargo clearance period of 48 hours.

He described the facility as one of the most efficient maritime terminals in the region.

The manager explained that the terminal offers a broad range of services, including general cargo handling, container logistics, warehousing, oversized cargo management, and specialized support services for the oil and gas sector.

He added that Warri Port’s strategic location provides a competitive advantage in servicing markets across the South-South and South-East regions.

Also speaking, the Head of Clearing at Julius Berger Terminal, Mr. Olise Fidelis, assured prospective investors of the safety of their cargoes, noting that the facility operates under stringent security protocols supervised by relevant agencies, including the Nigeria Customs Service.

He further disclosed that the terminal has maintained a zero-accident record through strict adherence to safety and operational standards.

On the economic significance of the facility, a staff member, Mr. Ikubor Akpevwe said the terminal has the potential to drive trade expansion, attract new investments, and reduce logistics bottlenecks for businesses operating within the Niger Delta and beyond.

He urged importers, exporters, and maritime stakeholders to take advantage of the opportunities available at the port.

Terminal Operations Manager, Mr. Inusa Zuberu, reaffirmed the facility’s readiness to handle increased cargo volumes and expanded commercial activities.

He called on investors and business operators seeking reliable maritime and logistics solutions to consider the Julius Berger Multipurpose Terminal, stressing that ongoing investments and commitment to operational excellence are positioning Warri Port as a major trade and logistics hub capable of creating jobs, stimulating commerce, and attracting fresh investments into Nigeria’s maritime sector.
