Frontline development advocate and environmental rights activist in Delta State, Chief (Comrade) Mulade Sheriff, has pledged to bring about improved and sustainable development to his constituency, if given the mandate during the 2027 elections.
He is running for House of Representatives seat for Warri constituency on the flag of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
In a press release today, Sheriff said: ”I am appealing to electorates in the Warri Federal Constituency to make a wise choice in the 2027 general election by voting me. I am your own and I want to pledge a purposeful, driven, unity, people oriented, all-inclusive, economic empowerment, employment, skill acquisition, accessible, reliable and dependable representation, if voted into office.”
Comrade Sheriff, who holds the traditional title of Ibe-Serimowei of the ancient oil-rich Gbaramatu Kingdom and is a United Nations (UN) Peace Ambassador, appealed to politicians to show decorum, purpose-driven and issue-based campaigns, and not electioneering of calumny and hate, noting that after election, the people remain as one indivisible entity.
He said his tenure would critically look at empowerment of the youth, women and the aged, pointing out that they are the vulnerable in society.
