President Bola Tinubu’s right-hand man, James Faleke, who is a member of the House of Representatives, has obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on behalf of the President ahead of the 2027 poll.

The forms were presented today in Abuja by the APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, who formally announced the commencement of the party’s nomination process.

Faleke, who represents Ikeja constituency and is the founder of the Tinubu Support Groups, received the documents on behalf of President Tinubu.

Faleke is known to be Tinubu’s ally for decades and is one of few prominent Nigerians “who can access the Jagaban anytime of day, even in the latter’s bedroom; the trust is extremely very high,if that’s an accurate way to describe and capture the closeness of their relationship.”

The purchase of the forms, valued at N100 million, is seen as a formal indication of Tinubu’s intention to seek a second term in office.

In a related development, electoral umpire Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) has fixed Saturday, 16 January, 2027, for the Presidential and National Assembly elections, while governorship and State Houses of Assembly polls are scheduled for Saturday, 6 February, 2027.
