Acting Director, Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA)’s Department of Outdoor Advertisement and Signage (DOAS), Tpl. Akanimo Udoh, has extended birthday wishes to FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike.
Wike turned 57 last Friday and since then, prominent Nigerians, including state governors, senators, and others have showered him with goodwill messages. Some even took out full page adverts in daily newspapers to salute the former governor of Rivers State widely regarded as a key factor in the country’s contemporary political development and infrastructural growth.
In a statement made available to People&Politics on Sunday (today), Tpl. Udoh commended the Minister for his numerous and qualitative infrastructural transformation of the nation’s capital territory.
He said: “You have completely changed the aesthetics of our dear city. We are proud of what Federal Capital Territory has turned out to be under the courage, purposeful and fruitful leadership of the Hon. Minister FCT.”
Tpl. Udoh stated that Wike’s achievements also include “creation of FCT Civil Service Commission, creation of Women Affairs Secretariat, appointment of Permanent Secretaries, rehabilitation of FCTA schools across the FCT, completion and commissioning of projects, reducing the insecurity menace in FCT, and others.”
Apparently enthused by these, the director noted that “Abuja under your watch is having a new look. We at DOAS can boldly refer you as a Reformer and Mr Project.”
Tpl Udoh, on behalf of the management and staff of DOAS, felicitated the Minister on his birthday anniversary and prayed God Almighty to continue to give him the strength and wisdom to pilot FCT’s affairs.
