Enugu State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Barrister Richard Agu as the Commissioner for Transportation in the administration of Governor Peter Mbah.
The appointment was confirmed on Thursday after screening at the Assembly’s plenary.
Before his appointment, Agu was Chairman of the board of the state-owned Enugu Air.
He hails from Ngwo in Udi Local Government Area (LGA) of the State and was nominated by Gov. Mbah for the position.
The Speaker, Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Uche Ugwu, confirming the appointment, commended lawmakers for their active participation in the process.
