Engr Uche Agomuo: The US-Based Illustrious Son Of Ngwaland Bringing World-class Experience To 2026 Ngwa Day Symposium

By Ngozi Ufomba

On Sunday, 27 December 2026, the Aba Sports Club, Abia State, will become a gathering point for sons and daughters of Ngwa for the 2026 Ngwa Day Symposium.

The august occasion is expected to bring together captains of industry, professionals, entrepreneurs, investors, start ups, employers of labour, occupants of thrones of traditional institutions and the high end Ngwa community to discuss a subject that affects generations unborn: How to transform Ngwa’s enormous human and economic potential into sustainable development.

For the benefit of readers not in the know, Ngwa people are the largest sub-group of the Igbo ethnic nationality in South-East Nigeria, and occupy about nine Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Abia State, tagged ‘God’s Own State’ because of the admirable, high degree of very successful private enterprises through which the people unleashed their innate industrial and commercial energies to create massive wealth for self, family, community and nation.

Aba, one of Nigeria’s commercial and industrial hubs, is in NgwaLand.

At the centre of the important conversation of Ngwa Day Symposium is a man whose life and career uniquely connect Ngwa heritage with global experience — Engr. Uche (Uchechi) Agomuo, the distinguished engineer, entrepreneur, global business executive and economic development advocate who will serve as Keynote Speaker at the symposium.

Engr. Agomuo is not coming merely to deliver a ceremonial speech. He comes with more than three decades of international experience spanning engineering, manufacturing, infrastructure, supply chains, energy, agriculture, workforce development, entrepreneurship and economic transformation across North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and Africa.

A Global Career, With Ngwa Heart

As President and Chief Executive Officer of Glovon & Clovon Engineering Consulting, LLC, a US-based engineering and management consulting firm he founded in 2007, Engr. Agomuo has worked with corporations, manufacturers, public institutions, infrastructure developers and emerging enterprises to solve complex challenges and turn ideas into measurable economic outcomes.

His academic and professional journey is equally of note. A mechanical engineer by training, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southern University and A&M College and a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in the US.

His expertise spans aviation, engineering, manufacturing, operational excellence, supply chain transformation, infrastructure development, clean energy, supplier development, workforce advancement and global business strategy.

But beyond the impressive laurels and international accomplishments is something particularly significant to the Ngwa community: Engr. Agomuo remains deeply connected to his Ngwa identity and is passionate about what the Ngwa people can achieve.
