A renowned cleric, Apostle Oluwarotimi Jeremiah Adeyeye, has cautioned President Bola Tinubu to pull out of the 2027 presidential election to maintain his status as a statesman in the country.

Apostle Adeyeye said it was doubtful if the 2027 general elections would hold in Nigeria, adding that if it did, it could be the beginning of downward trend for the former Lagos State governor in Nigerian politics.

Apostle Adeyeye of the Clear Revelation Ministry, Ibadan, Oyo State, in a press release on Thursday, stated that he did not see Asiwaju Tinubu returning to office in 2027.

He stated: “Today is another day to speak to Nigerians. Year in year out, I have been convinced about my messages to Nigerians. But what bothers me for now is that this will be the third time within a space of one year that I have been speaking to these issues.

“I think last year, August, I did a press conference and hammered on these things. This is the third time. Again, I have a heavy heart concerning Nigeria.

On Tinubu

“First, I want to talk about President Bola Tinubu. I see something that gives me headache. If I were in his shoes, I would not contest in the election of 2027.

“And I see people who are around him giving him false confidence. 2023 has come and it has gone. I have never seen somebody so favoured as Tinubu; a man who came from the grassroots to the head of the ladder.

“After the head of the ladder, there is nothing to behold again. And there is nothing more than climbing than coming down.

“The ladder of this nation, I have seen it breaking, since 2010. I have been saying it loud to all the Presidents that have emerged since 2010 that Nigeria will be totally divided. The day is near; it will not be long.

“This time, the country is not well. It is not rosy for people; it is only those people on top of the ladder that are doing what they like. If they want to buy two planes or even one dozen, they have the money. But the people in the grassroots are suffering. No money; people are crying; things are so high in the market; a family of two and three cannot feed with N5,000; things are so hard.

“Now, I am just beseeching Tinubu not to contest election in 2027. I don’t see him fully enjoying the 2027 election. It is not about Tinubu and I, being Yoruba men; if I can tell you, Tinubu has helped many heads to reach their dreams. He has companies where many people are feeding from.

“But Nigeria will not favour him in 2027. If I were him, I would not contest. What is ahead is bigger than anybody’s head. That is the advice I’m giving Tinubu.

“And if he insists on continuing and things are not getting better in Nigeria, as one kilogramme of cooking gas is around N1,500, one litre of petrol is around N1,300 — these are things that can make the common people to live easy life –Nigeria will not favour him in 2027.

“I don’t see anybody in Nigeria and Africa who has had breakthrough like Tinubu.

“There are some people in Africa that he should reflect upon: Idi Amin Dada of Uganda; what was his end? We saw the end of Samuel Doe in Liberia. I don’t want my own brother to be like that. There is nothing that a man wants that God has not given to Tinubu. For him, 2027 is not going to be an easy ride.”

On Far North, The Buhari ‘Secret’ Deeds

He also said the powers-that-be in Northern Nigeria had held the country by the jugular, adding that they should let go to avert impending repercussions.

“Talking about Northern Nigeria, I am not separating Hausa from Fulani or any other ethnic group. They have done evil to this nation. And I keep on telling them, what they used (the late former President) Buhari to do, the secret will leak very soon, and it will bring a great disaster on them, unless they change their ways.

“All the souls that are being taken in the Northern region are crying. A little portion of them are using the crises to make money. So, the repercussion is on the way, unless they put things in order.

On What Nigerians Should Do

“Talking about Nigeria as a whole, some people could be saying what am I talking about? I am just pleading to every Nigerian to wake up and seek the face of God. That problem is coming; and when it comes, it will take both right and left. So, we need to pray. Those who have the mind that they want to turn Nigeria to a one-religion state are just playing.

“All their thoughts are not of God. If God had wanted the whole world to be in one accord, He wouldn’t have divided the languages. Hausa people have varieties of languages; Fulani have varieties; in Yorubaland, you have varieties of the language. So, no one can make things that God did not make. This time, Nigerians should wake up and give God His way,” he said.

On Oyo Gov Makinde

Apostle Adeyeye said he had told Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State that towards the end of his second term, his government would encounter strife.

“I had told Seyi Makinde last year that towards the tail of his government, troubles would erupt. On August 27, 2025, I addressed a press conference and told him that there was somebody in his government on whose account people would be after him (Makinde); that person would make people to hate him.

“And if care is not taken, a dark horse will become the governor, if the election holds. Makinde may not know me, but if he sees me in person, he will give me recognition. I have been after his success since. I have never been to his office since he was elected. In 2019, I was the genie in the bottle; in 2023, I was the one that said if the date of the election did not change in Nigeria, Seyi would not win, but I thank God the date changed.

“Those who know what I said then are still with him in government. I have been about Nigeria not only in this dispensation.

“I remember that when I told (the late MKO) Abiola that he would win election but would not be sworn in as President, people called me names then.

“This time, Seyi needs to work hard; he needs strong consultation. I won’t say more than that concerning Oyo State, but things may lead to somebody they never thought of becoming governor of Oyo State. Many tables will turn, if there is going to be election in 2027.

On 2027 Elections, Fate Of INEC Chairman

“As per the 2027 election, I see things are going to be tough. I still maintain that the date of the election may change; and 2027 is going to be a toughest in the history of Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

“If the INEC Chairman tries to rig the election, the revenge of all the elections that had been rigged in Nigeria would be taken on him; his family will never forget it.

“If he knows that he cannot do the right thing, I give him the advice to resign and go back to his profession, because the repercussion will take place, many heads will roll. 2027 will never be like 2023. So, I am giving a great warning.

On Atiku Abubakar

“If there should be election, what is delaying Atiku Abubakar since all these years is on my palm. In 2019, his people came to me; I told them that unless I sat down with Atiku and ask him a question, if he could answer, probably, he might still be President in Nigeria.

On Disintegration

“But what I see that baffles me a lot is that the day of Nigeria’s break-up is near; it is not too far.

“This their Muslim/Muslim ticket, they thought Tinubu would die, and the deputy would replace him. But God’s way is not like that. But what is ahead is greater than everybody’s thought. This is my message for the nation.”
