Excitement As Olu Of Warri Celebrates Fifth Coronation Anniversary

Activities for the celebration of the fifth coronation anniversary of prominent monarch, the Olu of Warri, HRH Ogiame Atuwatse III, will kick off from 14 August 2026 and end on 23 August 2026.

This was disclosed by the event’s Oversight Committee made up of chiefs from the Palace of the Olu of Warri.

Addressing newsmen, the Ogwaoluson of Warri Kingdom, Chief Brown Mene, disclosed that this year’s anniversary will be remarkably different from the past ones.

According to him, the anniversary celebrations will come under the theme: ‘Global Homecoming Meant To Celebrate Our Rich Cultural Renaissance, Unity And Transformational Progress’.

Chief Mene, who spoke on behalf of the Committee Chairman, Chief (Dr) Engr. Oma Eyewuoma, the Ologbotsere of Warri, said the event will last for 10 days with massive cultural displays spiced up with heavy shades of entertainment.

He revealed that the Federal Government, through the Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, has established a strategic partnership with Warri Kingdom to leverage the anniversary for global tourism development, investment and youth empowerment.

“It is in view of these developments that we today celebrate the half a decade of a vision built on peace, innovation and Global renaissance,” Chief Mene said.
