The Justice Forum of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has called on President Bola Tinubu to encourage conscientious party members by rewarding their loyalty to his administration and the party.
It took the position in a statement on Democracy Day (today), which was jointly signed by Chairman of the Forum, Chief Kolawoke Koleoso, and the Secretary, Alhaji Olasupo Anisere, a copy of which was made available to People&Politics.
The statement read in full: “Fellow Nigerians, Happy Democracy Day.
“Today we celebrate the courage of patriots who defended the ballot and the will of the people. Democracy thrives when sacrifice is remembered and loyalty is rewarded.
“As we reflect on the Renewed Hope journey so far, we, the Oyo APC Justice Forum, appeal to our President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to use the remaining period of this first term to deliberately prioritize the men and women of the Oyo State APC who stood firm when it mattered most.
“In 2023, Oyo APC members defied odds, mobilized at ward level, and delivered critical support that helped secure victory for our party. Many worked without promise of reward, driven only by faith in the Renewed Hope agenda.
“Mr. President, these foot soldiers are the backbone of our democracy. Their continued faith in our party depends on visible inclusion.
“As you shape appointments, empowerment programs, and federal interventions in the months ahead, we urge you to ensure Oyo APC stakeholders who laboured for victory are not forgotten.
“Rewarding loyalty is not patronage. It is justice. It is the surest way to strengthen the APC in Oyo State ahead of 2027 and to show Nigerians that hard work for democracy pays.”
