It rained tears and sorrow today in Kaduna when the body of popular Pastor, Rev. David Ayuba Azzaman, who died in a car accident on May 24, 2025, was committed to earth.

Mothers, fathers, sons and daughters, his widow, sisters and brothers, church members, friends and well wishers could not hold back tears as emotions rose high during remarks on Azzaman by some Christian clerics at the burial prayer service ceremony held in his church.

Indeed, King Worship Chapel and Ministry, Sabon Tasha, his church, where he was the Assistant General Overseer, was filled to overflowing with huge crowd of sympathisers singing praises of late Azzaman for living a selfless, courageous, fearless Christian life.

Born Fulani by patrimony, the late Azzaman, according to one of those who deliver sermons at the burial ceremony, was known as a fisher of men and winner of souls for God, even converting many Fulani Muslims to Christianity in his lifetime.

Hours were spent yet time seemed not enough as clergyman upon clergyman gave sermons during funeral service at the worship chapel naming him as a General, bulldozer, lion, ‘courageousity’, fearless, controversial preacher, voice of the voiceless, among others.
