To enhance digital literacy and examination preparedness, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Secondary Education Board (SEB) has successfully conducted a Computer-Based Test (CBT) training workshop for Senior Secondary School (SSS) teachers across designated zones of the territory’s six Area Councils.

Speaking before the commencement of the intensive training, the Director/Secretary, FCT SEB, Dr. Sani Mohammed Ladan, stated that the training aimed to equip educators with the necessary skills to guide students through the transition to West African Examinations Council (WAEC)’s CBT system.

He explained that a total of 88 senior secondary schools were invited to participate, with each school nominating three teachers for the training.

A total of 199 participants actively engaged in the workshop, which covered crucial aspects such as CBT navigation, software functionality, and strategies for effective student preparation.

Dr. Ladan emphasized that the training represents a proactive step in ensuring that FCT schools are well-prepared for WAEC’s transition to CBT.

The SEB boss reaffirmed his commitment to supporting schools in this transition by addressing resource gaps and organizing follow-up sessions for continued learning.
