Champions League Review: Arsenal Erupt, PSV Stun Liverpool, Benfica Revive

By John Brewin The Big Winners *Bayern Munich’s unbeaten run and claim to be the best team in European football were both punctured at the Emirates. Arsenal were rampant against an opponent who had handed them so much pain in the past. The Gunners opened the scoring through their habitual set-piece goal, Jurriën Timber fulfilling the role of the absent Gabriel Magalhães. Lennart Karl, the 17-year-old, showed off his chops with a fine goal; from within Bayern have found the player they desired when they were thwarted in moving for Florian Wirtz. After that, Declan Rice and Eberechi Eze took…

Abuja Indigenous Youth Leader To FG: Your Response Trend To Recent Kidnap Incidents Shows What Language FCT Indigenes Must Speak

President of Abuja Original Inhabitants Youths Empowerment Organisation (AOIYEO), Commandant Isaac David, has sharply criticised the Federal Government (FG)'s handling of a recent kidnap rescue, warning that the approach sends a “dangerous signal” to indigenous peoples of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Speaking during a media briefing in Abuja, David said the FG’s swift response to the demands of armed groups involved in the abduction, has inadvertently communicated that “only the language of force” receives urgent attention from the nation's authorities. Recall that 25 schoolgirls were abducted on 17 November 2025 from a girls’ secondary school in Maga, Kebbi State.…

Boko Haram On A Gravy Train Under Tinubu’s Watch

Boko Haram on a gravy train under Tinubu’s watch: What the Tinubu government did is a shameful abdication of governance. If, as Onanuga claimed, the security agents not only know all the bandits, but also where they operate from, what is being flaunted as achievement is a gross advertisement of cluelessness, which in other countries will elicit a mass protest and call for resignation. Tinubu does not know what it means to be commander-in-chief of the armed forces… With hunger and poverty ravaging the land, violence is bound to spike. With increased violence and mass abduction of school children, more…

UCL: Arsenal Top Standings, Liverpool Bow To Lowly PSV, Mbappe Double Brace Lifts Madrid

This was billed as a clash of two of the best teams in Europe and for most of a cold evening in north London on Wednesday night, it felt like it. An absorbing game that ebbed and flowed throughout had Bayern Munich’s rising teenager Lennart Karl cancel out Jurrien Timber’s opening goal from a corner before substitutes Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli sealed a deserved win for the home side. It maintains their 100% record in the Champions League and sends them top of the table. Harry Kane let it slip in the buildup that scoring against Arsenal gives him…
