Is Abortion Really Bad?

Is Abortion Really Bad?

By OREVA GODWIN This is one controversial topic, and you, my dearest readers, already know how controversial I can be. I'm a born-again Christian and yet a realist. I don't let my religious beliefs kill my reality. And I can never force my religious belief on someone or on the law. Sometimes, we need to look at things, not just from the religious angle but also from the human perspective. So let's keep an open mind as we talk about this topic, without being judgemental or throwing stones. It's an old-time practice that can never end. Am I here to…

As The World Welcomes A New Pontiff

As The World Welcomes A New Pontiff

By SHEDDY OZOENE The election of Cardinal Robert Prevost as the 267th Pope started with the comical. Days before his election on Thursday May 8, United States President Donald Trump roused a lot of criticism across the world after he posted an AI-generated image of himself as the Pope. The image which the President posted penultimate Friday features him wearing a traditional bishop’s attire: a white cassock and pointed mitre, and a large cross around his neck. Coming curiously as Catholics were still mourning the passing of the much-loved Pope Francis, who died on 21 April, and in the thick…

Crunch Clasico Offers Madrid Chance Despite Barca Dominance

They have lost three times this season to their oldest rivals but a win tomorrow, Sunday, May 11, would give Ancelotti’s men a path to retaining the league. By Sid Lowe, in Madrid Real Madrid’s players arrived at training on Wednesday morning to find seven teddy bears waiting for them. Lined up on a bush outside Valdebebas, they wore white shirts and a banner had been placed in front of them, alongside a couple of Spain flags with the club badge in the middle where the crown should go. “Grazie, Inter,” it said. The night before, Simone Inzaghi’s side had…

It was a night when Arsenal gave everything, battling until the very last, even when it looked over. Nobody should fault the spirit of Mikel Arteta’s players. They emerged with honour. When it really was all over, the raucous Parc de Princes venue pounded to a delirious beat. Paris Saint-Germain are going to their second Champions League final, deserved winners across the two legs. ‘Trump Can Enforce Ban On Transgender Service Members In US Military’

‘Trump Can Enforce Ban On Transgender Service Members In US Military’

The US Supreme Court said Tuesday that the Trump administration can begin immediately enforcing a ban on transgender service members in the military. The decision is a major victory for President Donald Trump in his effort to get the high court to unlock various parts of his second-term agenda that have been held up by lower courts reviewing scores of legal challenges to his policies. As is often the case in emergency rulings, the court did not explain its reasoning. The three liberal justices publicly dissented from the decision, but also did not explain their position. During the president’s first…
