*Monarch Accepts To Attend Agidanyin Day Festival In Erinmo

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr.) Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja (Arusa1), has, again, called on traditional rulers in the country to unite for the nation’s peace and progress.
This came on the heels of Oba Ladoja’s acceptance to attend Agidanyin Founder’s Day Festival in Erinmo in Erinmo-Ijesa on Saturday, 7 November.
The monarch’s acceptance speech was contained in a press release issued and signed by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Solomon Ayoade, on Thursday and made available to journalists in Ibadan today (Friday).
According to Oba Ladoja, the visit of Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesa Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr.) Michael Odunayo Ajayi (Arowotawaya II), was a welcome idea expected among traditional rulers to further cement the existing cordial and mutual relationship among monarchs.
The paramount ruler reiterated his earlier call to give traditional rulers constitutional roles to be able to discharge their responsibilities as and when due.
Olubadan admonished royal fathers in Yorubaland, in particular, and Nigeria as a whole, to unite, promote mutual understanding and respect to jointly move the country forward.
Earlier during his visit, the Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesa Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ajayi, had expressed appreciation to Oba Ladoja’s warm, royal reception and “quality time” they spent together during the visit.
Presenting the invitation letter to Arusa1, Elerinmo said “spending time in your presence was not only a great honour, but also a deeply memorable experience. Your humility, wisdom, generousity and fatherly disposition continue to demonstrate why you are held in such high esteem by the people and why your reign commands such profound respect.
“I am particularly grateful to Your Majesty for graciously accepting my invitation to attend Agidanyin Founder’s Day Festival in Erinmo which brings tremendous joy to me and my people; and I eagerly look forward to receiving Your Imperial Majesty with the deserved honour befitting your exalted throne.
“Baba, may Almighty God continue to preserve you, grant you long life in sound health, abundant wisdom, strength, and continue to bless your reign with peace, honour and accomplishments.”
Oba Ajayi prayed God to let the Olubadan throne continue to stand as a beacon of unity, wisdom, culture and progress, adding that may generations continue to benefit from Oba Ladoja’s wealth of experience and quality leadership.
