Former Deputy Gov Salutes Tambuwal, Others Over ADC’s 2027 Endorsement

Former Deputy Governor of Sokoto State and prominent politician, Manir Muhammad Dan’iya, has expressed gratitude to political stakeholders and supporters following his emergence as the preferred leader of the new movement within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Sokoto State.

Dan’iya, who also holds the traditional title of Walin Sokoto, particularly appreciated former Sokoto State Governor and ex-Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, for his support, guidance, and commitment to the political growth and stability of the state.

In a statement issued to journalists, the former Deputy Governor described the confidence reposed in him by party leaders, elders, political associates, youths, women groups, and other stakeholders as a major responsibility that demands unity, sincerity, and collective commitment toward the progress of the state.

He explained that the movement reflects renewed dedication to inclusive leadership, good governance, and people-oriented policies aimed at advancing the development of the state.

Dan’iya noted that the encouragement and backing he has received from various political blocs and supporters across Sokoto would continue to inspire him to engage with citizens, community leaders, party faithful, and development partners in pursuit of a more prosperous future for the state.

He also urged members and supporters of the movement to remain peaceful, united, and focused as political consultations and engagements continue ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“I sincerely appreciate His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, alongside all stakeholders, political associates, elders, youths, women, and supporters for the confidence reposed in me. This support is a responsibility I deeply value, and together, we shall continue to work for the unity, stability, and development of Sokoto State,” Dan’iya stated.
