This season has been far from smooth sailing for Vinicius Jr.
The Brazilian forward has had to watch Real Madrid fall short in every competition they were fighting for and, while things on a personal level appeared to be going perfectly in his relationship with Virginia Fonseca, it now seems their romance has come to an end,reports Spanish sport daily Mundo Deportivo English edition, today.
It was the Brazilian model herself who publicly announced the breakup with the Real Madrid star through a statement posted on her social media accounts.
The couple officially confirmed their relationship in late October 2025, although rumors linking them together had already begun circulating earlier that year, around September.
Virginia Fonseca’s Statement
“I will always allow myself to live. To live something real, without fear, without calculation, and without stopping being who I am.
“While we were together, I gave a lot of myself, just as I do with everything I choose to experience in my life.
“After all, I have always worked very hard, I have always been deeply focused on my dreams and responsibilities. But I am also a woman, and I allowed myself to live this relationship without building walls, valuing the respect I always had within any relationship,” the model’s statement begins.
“Throughout my life, I learned never to negotiate what, for me, is non negotiable.
“So when something no longer makes sense, I prefer having the maturity to end it with affection rather than staying just for the sake of staying.
“Today we chose to respect each other’s path. I truly wish Vinícius happiness and success, and I say all of this with a lot of affection,” she continued.
The model, who attended Thursday’s match between Álvaro Arbeloa’s team and Real Oviedo at the Santiago Bernabéu, ended her statement by asking for as much respect as possible for both herself and her now former partner, Vinicius Jr.
