Oyo State Directorate of National Orientation Agency (NOA) has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting national unity, civic responsibility, and educational empowerment.

Speaking on the ‘Pendulum’ programme with Ayodeji Ajisope on a broadcast station, Solution 93.9 FM, the Oyo State Director of NOA, Dr. Olukemi Afolayan, called on Nigerians to reflect on their contributions to national development and demonstrate core values of discipline, accountability, and active participation.

Dr. Afolayan highlighted the agency’s revitalised efforts under its ongoing organisational reforms, citing initiatives such as the Village Care Project and Anti-Drug Abuse Campaigns.

She emphasised the importance of civic education, particularly for the youth, and appealed for broader support from state governments, private sector partners, and civil society groups.

The NOA boss commended the Federal Government’s Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) initiative, saying it was designed to provide financial support to students pursuing higher education.

Dr. Afolayan explained that the loan provided comprehensive financial assistance, covering tuition fees and offering stipends for living expenses.

She encouraged eligible students to apply, assuring that NOA was working with universities and relevant authorities to address disbursement concerns.
