Surgeons in California have performed the first ever successful bladder transplant, aiding a patient who previously had his bladder and both kidneys removed as a result of cancer treatment and end-stage kidney disease. The treatment allowed the patient, 41-year-old father of four Oscar Larrainzar, to go off dialysis – although the surgery comes with considerable short- and long-term risks and unknowns. India and Pakistan have agreed to a “full and immediate ceasefire” following a night of talks mediated by the United States. US President Donald Trump made this disclosure in a post on his Truth Social platform on Saturday. “After a long night of talks mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a FULL AND IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE,” the US president said. The Vatican has confirmed that Pope Francis has been buried today, Saturday, April 26, at Santa Maria Maggiore basilica, which sits outside the Vatican walls in the centre of Rome.
