Chairman of Lobi Stars Football Club, Simon Terver Ikya, has tasked Christians to remain in unity and as well have hope to enable them achieve maximally.
Mr. Ikya also identified with Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia of Benue State and other government officials who have remained supportive of Lobi Stars, urging them to remain firm in their support for the club to enable it succeed.
A statement by the club’s Director, Media and Communication, Mr. Uja Emmanuel, noted that for the Chairman, Easter represents the ultimate triumph, where sacrifice culminates in victory, much like the defining moments in football where discipline and belief deliver glory at the final whistle.
According to him, “the season calls for deep reflection on the priceless gift of redemption, urging all to draw strength from its enduring message of hope, renewal, and purposeful living.”
As Ikya wished everyone a fulfilling and joyous celebration, the Chairman also expressed firm optimism that the spirit of the resurrection of Jesus Christ would continue to inspire unity, elevate aspirations, and propel both individuals and the club to greater heights in all endeavours.
In a related development, the management, staff, and players of Lobi Stars felicitated the esteemed Chairman on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
The club noted that the Chairman’s stewardship has recalibrated its direction, instilling unity as the team’s core shape, discipline and decorum as its guiding principles, and a culture of promptness and industry that now defines both officials and players.
A statement by the Principal Media Officer of the club, Austin Tyowua, disclosed that under Ikya’s watch, every unit in the club has found its rhythm, functioning with clarity and cohesion like a well-drilled side executing a perfect game plan.
“With the leadership of Ikya, and the valued support of the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, Lobi Stars returned to Makurdi after years on the road.
“By ensuring the McCarthy Stadium met minimum approval standards for league games, the Chairman restored the club’s home ground, where three matches produced three victories, a flawless run that propelled the team from fifth position to a strong second-place finish, just three points behind the leaders,” it stated.
The club insisted that the tenure of the Chairman has reflected calm authority, sound judgment, and purposeful leadership, qualities,it noted, that continue to shape the club’s progress.
