His congratulatory message was contained in a press release issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga.
“I join Muslims globally to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr for this year and thank Almighty Allah for sparing our Iives to see the end of the 30-day fasting period.
“I admonish Muslims not to forget the lessons learned during the Ramadan lectures particularly on abstinence from sins, repentance, forgiveness, seeking the face of Allah always, sharing the goodies of life with all and sundry, particularly the less privileged,” the paramount ruler said.
He added: “At present, Nigeria as a nation is faced with mirage of challenges, ranging from insecurity, poverty, hunger to anger and economic hardship that need our fervent prayers to direct our leaders to take our nation to greater heights.
“Celebration of Eid-el-Fitr is not only about wining and dining, but also to reflect on the service to Allah and humanity, especially promotion of religious tolerance and peaceful co-existence.”
Recall that the Ramadan fasting period started last month with activities which included lectures, prayers, distribution of gifts, visits to less privileged homes, among others.
Oluyole Reps hopeful, Olaosebikan, Greets Muslims
As the holy month of Ramadan drew to a close, Alhaji Kehinde Isiaq Olaosebikan, the AgbaAkin Adeen of Oluyole and a leading aspirant to the House of Representatives, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Oluyole, Oyo State, and Nigeria, urging renewed commitment to national unity and sustained support for ongoing reforms.
In a message marking the celebration of Eid el-Fitr, Olaosebikan described Ramadan as a sacred period of spiritual rebirth, moral discipline, and communal reflection, a time that reinforces the values of sacrifice, compassion, and unwavering faith in God and country.
He noted that this year’s observance holds deeper significance as it aligns closely with the Christian season of Lent, describing the convergence as a powerful reminder of Nigeria’s shared spiritual heritage.
According to him, both seasons embody the same universal principles of self-denial, humility, and service to humanity, values that must now be translated into collective national action.
“Beyond the rituals of fasting and prayer, Ramadan teaches endurance, empathy, and responsibility,” he stated, adding that “these are the same virtues we must apply as citizens in building a nation that works for all.”
Olaosebikan emphasised that Nigeria stands at a critical juncture in its development journey, where patience, sacrifice, and unity are essential ingredients for sustainable progress.
Drawing a parallel between the discipline of fasting and the demands of governance, he called on Nigerians to remain steadfast and supportive of policies aimed at long-term stability and economic transformation.
Referencing the reform-driven direction of President Tinubu, he urged citizens to see beyond temporary challenges and embrace the broader vision of national renewal, noting that meaningful change often requires difficult decisions, but with collective understanding and support, such reforms can yield lasting benefits for future generations.
“We must continue to build bridges, strengthen our communities, and support initiatives that will bring development closer to our people,” he said.
Olaosebikan concluded by praying for continued peace, stability, and prosperity for Nigeria, expressing optimism that the lessons of Ramadan would inspire a renewed sense of purpose among citizens.
