HORROR! Assailants In Kano Kill Woman, Her Six Children, Fling Child Into Well

Police in Kano State said today that a woman, Fatima Abubakar, and her six children have been murdered after unidentified hoodlums broke into their home in Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters, in the State.

The incident occurred today, police added.

The incident was also captured in a live video streaming on Facebook by independent broadcaster, Freedom Radio Nigeria, today.

In a statement signed by Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the State Command, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the Command said it received a distress call about 12:10pm reporting an attack on the household of one Haruna Bashir.

According to the police, the victims were attacked with dangerous weapons, resulting in fatal injuries.

The statement stated that the State Commissioner of Police (CP), Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, quickly mobilised a police team led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Operations, Lawal Isah Mani, to the scene.

Apparently on getting there, the evil deed had already been done and the bodies were evacuated and rushed to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital Kano, where the victims were pronounced dead.

According to the statement, the CP instructed a team headed by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Wada Jarma, to conduct an investigation with a fine toothcomb and bring the assailants to justice.

The Command extended condolences to the family, the people of Dorayi Chiranchi and Kano State.

The report by Freedom Radio Nigeria gave further details, adding that the unknown persons who broke into the woman’s house, killed her and her children, and threw an infant into a nearby well.
