Business tycoon and leading Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Oyo State, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has called on well-to-do Nigerians to always remember to give back to society.

He also told the people of the country to keep hope alive in 2026.

Oguntoyinbo, who is Chairman of Bullion-Go-Neat Global Limited, gave this admonition while speaking with journalists during the New Year get-together organised by one of the subsidiaries of his company, Bullion Records, on 1 January, 2026, in Ibafo, Ogun State.

He said it was not until one got into government before they give to society, adding that “the little we have, we can use part of it to put smiles on the faces of the less-privileged Nigerians.

“That is the reason, for the past 17 years, that we at Bullion-Go-Neat Global have been organising get-together party, not only for our staff and their families, but also for the entire communities where we have been operating.

“It is all about giving back to the society. We believe that if God keeps us from January to December, it is worth celebrating at the beginning of every new year. I think coming together like this is a way to thank God for His protection and for everyone to celebrate.”

On his New Year message to the people, Oguntoyinbo urged Nigerians not to be disillusioned, but to be full of hope, saying 2026 is going to be a better year.

“My message to the people of our country is to be hopeful; that all the problems they have been facing, God will intervene and this is a year that the Lord has made for all of us. If you observed yesterday (December 31st) and today (January 1st), there were rains in different parts of the country. That is a sign that God will intervene in our challenges in this new year,” he said.

Speaking about his aspiration to succeed the current governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, come 2027, Oguntoyinbo said he had good plans for the people of state.

He said by the time he rolled out his manifesto, the people of Oyo State would know they were in good hands, if he win the governorship election next year.

“We have a lot of programmes for our dear state, Oyo. By the time we roll out our programmes for the state, the people will know that they will continue enjoying what our governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has laid down.

“We will continue the good works of Engr. Makinde. We will build on what he is doing and make improvements where necessary. We will ensure that the civil servants and pensioners continue to enjoy what they are presently enjoying by ensuring that their salaries, gratuity and welfare will continue to enjoy utmost priority. Education, health and infrastructure would also be focused on,” he said.

Among the artistes that performed at the get-together were Alhaji Sulaimon Adio, (Atawewe), Harcher, Tope Indomie, Ayo Made, Femo Lancaster and DJ Dr. Step.
