A forum of former Local Government Chairmen who served during the administration of the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State,has congratulated the state’s former First Lady, Chief (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi, on her recent appointment as a non-career ambassador by President Bola Tinubu.
The forum, popularly known as Team Koseleri, in a statement issued and signed by the group’s Coordinator, Hon. Yekeen Popoola, described the appointment as well-deserved, timely, and a testament to Mrs. Ajimobi’s record of service, integrity, and commitment to national development.
Popoola noted that Mrs. Ajimobi has remained an exemplary leader whose influence extends beyond Oyo State, adding that her appointment reflects President Tinubu’s recognition of competence and dedication.
He commended the President for identifying “a woman of grace, courage, and enviable public service credentials,” expressing confidence that Mrs. Ajimobi will bring honour and excellence to her new diplomatic role.
The statement further praised her long-standing contributions to humanitarian causes, women development, and governance during and after her time as First Lady of Oyo State.
Team Koseleri prayed for her success and pledged full support as she represents Nigeria on the global stage.
