The spokesperson noted that the commemoration began with a lecture to women police officers reflecting on the significant role women have played in shaping policing in Nigeria.

Key activities, according to the statement, included “a 5km walk against Gender Based Violence, visitation to retired female police officers by the Benue State Women Police. The team also paid a warm visit to Mama Abayol orphanage home, celebrating the children and presented gifts.”
