Christian Genocide: US Galvanizes Global Opinion, As Ambassador, Nicki Minaj Unfurl Gory Details Of Alleged Killings

It appears the noose is being readied for persons involved in alleged killing of Christians in Nigeria as America’s top diplomat in the United Nations (UN) has spoken of the West African country’s religious situation, saying entire church congregations have been wiped out in what he alleged is a genocide.

It was gathered that the statement, made at a public event, is part of US’ moves to galvanize global opinion ahead of any intended practical action by President Donald Trump, if Nigeria’s authorities fail to stamp out the alleged slaughters.

Ambassador Mike Waltz described the recent killings of Christians in Nigeria as a “genocide wearing the mask of chaos.”

Fox News reports that Waltz made the comment today at an event hosted by the US Mission to the UN.

The Federal Government (FG) has persistently denied the allegation of Christian genocide, insisting that there is religious harmony in Nigeria even as both Christian and Muslim clerics are divided on the matter, most siding with their faiths.

Ambassador Waltz said: “There is a body of evidence, and you are going to hear that from our experts today that paints a very grim picture of disproportionate suffering among Christians, where, again, families are torn apart, clergy is repeatedly assassinated, and entire congregations, church congregations.

“Folks, we have an entire faith that is being erased. One bullet at a time, one torched Bible at a time.”

World famous rapper Nicki Minaj also spoke at the event, saying she wanted to speak out against injustice and stand up for people who are persecuted for their beliefs.

“In Nigeria, Christians are being targeted, driven from their homes and killed. Churches have been burned. Families have been torn apart and entire communities live in fear constantly, simply because of how they pray,” she told attendees.

The event highlighted religious violence and the killings of Christians in Nigeria, the world’s most populous black nation.

Minaj and Waltz headlined the UN event which zeroed in on allegations of widespread persecution and targeted killings of Christians in Nigeria.

The event was facilitated by political strategist Alex Bruesewitz, marking one of the most high-profile global interventions on Nigeria’s religious-violence crisis.

About three weeks ago, US President Trump had designated Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC), and threatened to invade Nigeria “guns-a-blazing”, if the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu failed to eliminate the scourge fast.

The US President cited what he described as ongoing violence against Christians and failure of the government to protect religious minorities.
