Renowned religion icon, Sat Guru Maharaj Ji, has called on Northern elders to prevail on former Vice President (VP) Atiku Abubakar to steer clear of the 2027 presidential election.

He gave the charge in a letter dated 9 October, which he wrote to the elders, a copy of which was made available to journalists on Monday, 13 October.

“I use this medium to, once again, call on Abubakar Atiku to withdraw from the 2027 presidential election of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, because his presidential bid’s car has no brakes.

“Atiku’s primordial desperation to be president of Nigeria has him deaf-eared to voices of reason.

“I have repeatedly warned Nigerian politicians, particularly those of Northern extraction, to desist from running Nigeria like an amphitheatre of endless brigandage,” the letter read.

Maharaj Ji called the attention of the elders to the unwritten agreement that allows the North and South of the country to rotate the Presidency between them.

In the same breadth, he stated that the silence of Northern elders with regard to the said ‘agreement’ was not good enough.

“Having ingratiated a North-South shift of the presidential slot into Nigeria’s electoral space, the right, decent and respectable thing for the North to do is to honour what it created and has been advocating.

“The silence of Northern Nigeria’s political leaders in relation to the intent of Abubakar Atiku and some other Northern politicians to contest the 2027 presidential election is open and outright political rascality that deserves to be arrested.

“I call on Northern leaders, particularly the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) of General Ibrahim Babangida, General Yakubu Gowon, Generals Abdulsalami Abubakar and David Mark, the youth, market men and women to call Atiku back from his political recklessness.

“NEF’s silence in the face of Atiku’s daylight move to rob the South of its eight-year length of occupying the highest office in Nigeria (2023 – 2031) amounts to encouraging his political rascality.

“It is either Atiku is stopped from contesting the 2027 presidential election or the 2031 presidential ballot will be open to all (North and South) to contest!

“If Atiku and his Northern political fellows insist on being unreasonable, I here-say to them that there is no kind of madness that doesn’t have a cure in the cryptic and eternal completeness of mother-nature. I am not urging Atiku to drop his presidential ambition, I am WARNING HIM against it!

“The South must be allowed to complete its eight-year duration in Aso Rock like the North did in respect of the immediate-past Muhammadu Buhari administration.

“What is sauce for the goose is also sauce for the gander! The same energy that the North used to support Buhari in power for eight years should be applied to call Atiku to order in the interest of peace, progress and stability.

“I reiterate that Atiku has no business aiming to contest the forthcoming 2027 presidential election! He does not have the love that creates intelligence, dignity and respect for such a position.

“And if he insists and he does, he will be taught a special lesson by The Light Forces that have saved Nigeria from being set ablaze by some elements and their trainee religious sycophants and cohots.

“Aso Rock is neither an asylum nor a retirement home. Maharaj Ji has been patient enough with Nigerian politicians, particularly those of the neo-colonialist force who have been contracted to destabilise Nigeria from playing her role as the giant of Africa.

“The political leadership of the Northern Nigeria is primarily responsible for Nigeria’s protracted dilapidation. It is time to rescue Nigeria from rot and ruin to redemption and ascendancy.

“Atiku has acquired enough from Nigeria to retire in comfort anywhere in the world until death comes knocking on his door with a truck-load of red-hot karma. I advise him to stay away from contesting the 2027 presidential election, if he truly loves himself.

“A word is enough for the wise,” he concluded in the letter.
