Chairman, Oyo State Advisory Council, Chief Bolaji Ayorinde SAN, and other members of the council have congratulated the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Senator Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa 1, on his ascension to the throne of Olubadan of Ibadanland.
In a statement issued in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Thursday, September 25, Chief Ayorinde said: “It is with great pleasure, we members of the Oyo State Governors’ Advisory Council extend our heartfelt congratulations to Your Imperial Majesty on this momentous occasion of your ascension to the throne of your forefathers; your coronation and the presentation of the staff of office to you as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland by His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has added cultural value to Ibadanland and the whole of Oyo State.”
The statement, signed by all members of the council, stated further that “Your Imperial Majesty’s ascension to the revered throne of Olubadan is a testament to your unwavering dedication, profound wisdom and the respect you command within the State and beyond.”
The Chairman noted further that Ibadanland was known for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant traditions and had always been blessed with leaders whose vision had propelled the city towards greatness.
“As the 44th Olubadan, your Majesty inherited a legacy of leadership that dates back to the formation of the Olubadan chieftaincy in the early 19th century.
“We recognise the qualities that have distinguished you as a worthy successor; your experience in governance, community service and reconciliation has poised you as a leader who embodies the spirit of humility and dedication,” he said.
The statement added that Oba Ladoja’s ability to unite diverse groups and promote social harmony was precisely what Ibadanland needed at this juncture.
“The people look up to you, not only as their royal father, but also as a visionary capable of shepherding them towards peace, progress, and prosperity.
“As Your Majesty embarks on this significant journey, we pray that your reign brings forth an era characterised by tranquility and development.
“It is our sincere hope that under your guidance, the hallmark of your leadership will be a sustainable peace that fosters growth and development across all sectors.
“As we celebrate this historic moment, we ask for divine guidance and blessings upon your reign. May your tenure be filled with joy, health, and longevity.
“We pray that the Almighty grants you the wisdom to lead with compassion and the strength to persevere in the face of challenges. Let peace be your companion, progress your constant pursuit, and prosperity the legacy you leave behind,” he said.
The statement concluded: “Please be assured of the unwavering support of the Oyo State Advisory Council throughout your reign as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
“We stand ready to work alongside your distinguished office to create a brighter future for our people.
“As Your Imperial Majesty wears the crown and assumes your responsibilities, know that your leadership will be pivotal in shaping the direction of Ibadanland for generations to come.
