No Reason Given As Alia Okays Immediate Redeployment Of Agency’s Top Officials

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has approved major changes at the Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs (BLGCA).

A statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Tersoo Kula revealed that the Special Adviser (SA), BLGCA, Denen Aondoakaa, has been redeployed to the Office of the Chief of Staff, Government House.

According to the statement, from the Bureau too, Barrister Ajinge Saar is to return to Ministry of Justice; Derby Amine moves back to Ministry of Justice and Mrs. Galu to Accountant General’s Office.

Others affected in the major change in the Bureau include Shagba Ahura, who returns to Office of Head of Service, alongside Rhoda Aboh, to same office.

The Governor’s spokesman also disclosed that some officers have been move to the Bureau, naming them as Terna Ayu, Permanent Secretary; Terkura B. Dzwungwe, Director, Account and Finance; and Sule J. Liambee, Director, Administration and Supply.

Others include Esther Osugh to serve as cashier and Uza Christopher Uza, Director, Local Government Services.

The statement also revealed that Mr. Noel Wende has been redeployed from Benue Investment and Property Corporation (BIPC) to Office of Head of Service.

The statement emphasized that the changes were with immediate effect, while those to takeover at the Bureau were directed to report to their new offices not later than 8am today, Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
