UPDATE! Trump Seeks Death Penalty For Female Ukrainian Refugee Zarutska’s American Killer

*’She Came To US Seeking Peace, Safety…’

U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday, September 10, demanded the death penalty for the man accused of murdering Irina Zarutska, a young Ukrainian woman in Charlotte, North Carolina, last August.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote: “The ANIMAL who so brutally killed the beautiful young woman from Ukraine, who came to the United States seeking peace and safety, must receive a ‘quick’ trial (no doubt!) and be sentenced ONLY to the DEATH PENALTY. There can be no other option.”

The victim was identified as Irina Zarutska, who died after being stabbed in the neck by a man named Decarlos Brown while riding a train on August 22.

According to reports, the young woman bled to death as several passengers fled the scene of horror in panic, scattering in different directions.

On Tuesday, Trump had already urged his administration to act with “strength and determination” against criminals, declaring in a video posted on X that “we have to be ruthless like they are. It’s the only thing they understand.”

This week, the Department of Justice filed a federal criminal complaint against Brown in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, opening the possibility of a life sentence or the death penalty.

These charges come on top of state-level accusations of first-degree murder, a crime that carries the same punishments in North Carolina, although the state has observed a de facto moratorium on executions since 2006.
