True leadership involves the rowing of the boat in the same direction as the followers.
This much was demonstrated by the Woman Leader of Abia Development Association, Abuja (ADO), Noble Lady High Chief Charity Ohadiugha when she embarked on a familiarization tour to see members of the group in their local areas.
A press statement issued by the group’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Ngozi Ufomba, and made available to People&Politics, disclosed these.
During the visit, Ufomba stated, she interacted with them so as to know their challenges and fashion out creative solutions to them,to keep the group happy and united.
Her guests included women who hail from Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area (LGA) and those from lkwuano LGA.
The trip took her to their local general meeting venues, highlighting the importance of community engagement and the need for targeted interventions to support women’s welfare in the LGAs.
Ufomba stated: “By working together, the Abia Development Association women can create positive changes and improve the overall quality of life in the community.
“Key Areas of Focus: Community Development: Strengthening community structures and promoting social cohesion through women’s empowerment initiatives.
“Capacity Building: Providing training and capacity-building programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of women in those local Government Areas.
“Ohadiugha also encouraged the women to be active in the ADO women wing meeting. In addition, she informed them about the forthcoming ADO women wing election and advised them to bring out a woman with good reputation to represent them at the Exco level.”
