We’ll Continue Uplifting Quality Of Lives In Warri South -Council Chair

To the Chairman, Warri South Local Government Area (LGA) of Delta State, Hon. Isaac Agbateyinro, electioneering campaign promises are sacred and form a social contract that he said he will continue to keep.

He emphasized that he will continue to improve the people’s welfare by providing essential amenities needed to uplift their standard of living.

More dividends of democracy will be made available to further reduce any challenges being faced by the populace, he said.

Hon. Agbateyinro stated these today, July 24, when a select group of journalists led by the State Council Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Hon. Churchill Oyowe, visited the Council headquarters in Warri on projects assessment tour of the Council area.

“Our visit is to verify the extent of work being executed and the dividends of democracy being extended for the benefit of the people in the area. Ours is not a jamboree and we heard from the grapevine that the Council, led by the Chairman, is doing a lot of things to improve the welfare of the populace,” the NUJ chair said.

“We are going to visit all the Local Government Areas to be abreast with their level of development, although we had already visited Bomadi Council Area,” Oyowe remarked.

The team later inspected several ongoing projects in Warri and environs.

Earlier, some Supervisory Councilors who spoke during the interactive session, commended the Council Chairman for fulfilling his electioneering promises to the people.

The Chairman, represented by Deputy Leader of the Council’s legislative body, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Egbe, recounted some of the developmental feats recorded so far.

Egbe, speaking for the lawmakers, praised Hon. Agbateyinro, describing him as a workaholic and a man of purpose.

“He is actually fulfilling his promises to the people and we hope for more,” Hon. Egbe remarked.
