With what I saw from the VP yesterday, he’s ready to give it to Mr. President and the cabals with a bonus just like the Iranian Ballistic Missiles against Israel.
Shettima is not a coward and does not look like one. He’s smart, intelligent, witty and outspoken. He’s a Kanuri man who endures for a year or two and it seems he’s ready for this cold war.
He systematically opened a can of worms by attacking the first Nuclear facility (Rivers’ State of Emergency and the Attorney General ) and I pray Mr. Wike will not respond, otherwise he will face an intellectual war with political doggedness and sagacity in Shettima and his Governor, Professor Zulum.
For him to shower praises on Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai, we must know he is up to something big which will soon unveil itself. Nasiru is not to be underrated and I will never ever underrate him. His praises for Mallam may indicate a strategic alliance or shared goals.
Presidency must learn to manage him and never to respond to him. I describe him as Iran whom America tried their patience but remains resolute until he has his stockpile of drones and missiles now ready to cause any regional instability using the Northern Bloc which will surely affect our party APC, if not bring her to her knees.
Arewa is angry and must not be underrated or taken for granted when it comes to political statistics and power play.
Mr. President must manage him by sitting with him to address all grievances and suspicion before is too late.
In politics, outspoken people with confidence are extremely dangerous when pushed to the wall as they will fire using all cylinders.
Mr. President must also not listen to those that will say: “Forget him, he can not do anything. Highest, he talks and that is all”.
If they ignore him, the uproar of Gombe will gradually go to every nook and cranny of the North in support of Shettima which will perhaps give more strength to the Coalition to quietly clinch power.
VP Shettima is not to be underrated and must not be underrated. Dialogue must be an alternative to this systemic hypersonic cold war –and he seems ready for it.
